The FWD holds several events throughout the year, aimed at providing networking opportunities for the wholesale trade. The annual conference is usually held in spring, with keynote speakers from the industry and beyond. In addition, The FWD invented holds two specific category conferences - Drinksummit and Catersummit - focusing on the contribution made by wholesalers to these sectors. The annual dinner and Gold Medal Awards, held in November, recognise those who have made a significant contribution to the trade over the previous 12 months - both wholesalers and suppliers - and is the key annual event in the trade.
