The FWD's My Shop is Your Shop campaign promotes the value of the wholesale distribution chain and in particular the community role played by independent shops. It publicises the unique contribution local stores make to their neighbourhood, both economic and social, and encourages retailers to make the most of this strength to boost sales and attract new customers.
Through its parliamentary contacts, FWD invites MPs to visit wholesale depots and stores to see for themselves the often overlooked work that owners and staff do to bring convenient shopping, diverse product ranges and excellent, friendly service to the consumer. With an appreciation of the value of this supply chain, MPs are then encouraged to ensure its interests are represented in the formation of policy and legislation.
MSYS 2012 has a new look to reflect a fresh focus on highlighting the very best examples of community retailing and bringing public and parliamentary attention to these great local heroes. It is supported by leading suppliers to the convenience retailing sector and FWD member companies.
