New-look Wholesale News “leading industry’s transformation”

Revamped magazine and website to retain place as the voice of wholesale

New Wholesale News Editor Chris Evans believes the title can play a key role in helping the sector embrace an ever-changing future.

Evans was speaking as The Bright Media Agency officially became the new licence holder of FWD’s 28-year-old industry communication and ushered in an eye-catching new style that’s sure to set tongues wagging across the industry.

With the promise of higher-production values and more accessible content, the new-look Wholesale News aims to play a key role in the sector during a time when headlines are predicting big changes – and Evans believes the brand’s facelift can be seen as a positive for everybody.

“In times of uncertainty, it’s crucial to have a strong communication tool to clearly explain what’s going on and analyse the trends that could make all the difference to businesses,” said Evans.

“It’s an exciting time to get involved in the industry. The changes we’re seeing are undoubtedly having an impact on how the sector is working, but instead of seeing the transition as worrying, I’m excited for Wholesale News to be leading the industry’s transformation.”

The Bright Media Agency is building on past success to give Wholesale News a facelift – with a new-look monthly magazine, revamped website for all the latest industry news and views, and a new focus on content to give a complete view of everything you need to know in the sector.

One of the key changes that Evans and the team aim to introduce is to open up stories to reflect not just the wholesale industry, but also the suppliers that produce what wholesalers sells, the delivery companies that transport stock and the customers splashing their cash at hotels, convenience stores, restaurants and schools.

“By taking a wider look at issues and offering insight from other sectors, we believe that Wholesale News is providing a well-rounded knowledge base for all its readers,” Evans added.

“Readers will still receive all the insight, knowledge and expertise they’ve learned to expect from the title over the years, but we believe that we’re now providing added value that can help to inform future business decisions.”

As well as a new-look monthly magazine and redesigned website, Wholesale News is adding to its social media presence. The current @Wholesale_News handle is still live on Twitter, while Facebook and LinkedIn accounts have also been added.
