John Searle named as First Choice director

Experienced former Landmark man signs up to join Fairway Foodservice member

First Choice Foodservice has pulled off a major coup by signing up ex-Landmark Wholesale Trading Director John Searle to join its sales team.

The Staffordshire-based wholesaler, which is a member of Fairway Foodservice, has appointed Searle as its new trading director as the business attempts to build on the momentum that has seen its turnover increase from £1 million to £10 million during the past seven years.

Searle spent 22 years working at Landmark Wholesale in two different stints at the company and left his position at the end of 2017.

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work with [First Choice, Managing Director] Steve [Ainger] and the entire team at First Choice and help the business continue its already strong sales and profit growth, and further develop our customer service,” said Searle.

The move is expected to contribute towards First Choice taking the next step forward, with Searle’s four decades’ experience in the wholesale industry sure to be a huge asset to the team.

“I’ve had a working relationship with John for many years and I’m thrilled to bring his knowledge and passion to our highly talented sales team,” said Managing Director Ainger.

“We share the same goal of positioning First Choice as the go-to wholesaler in the region and his expertise will provide our sales staff with an enhanced skillset to set us apart from the competition.”
