First wholesaler launches Beam app
RNF’s e-commerce platform gets first outing with foodservice business
The first wholesaler to launch its digital channels using RNF’s Beam Commerce has gone live with its new-look online services.
Cornwall-based foodservice provider, Chadd’s Foodsmiths, is the first to use RNF’s digital sales and marketing offer, with more expected to follow in the coming months.
Beam Commerce allows customers to access a suite of digital tools that can be used on mobile, tablet and desktop computers, providing wholesalers with an e-commerce system that’s tailored specifically for the wholesale market.
And after identifying the need to offer an online-ordering tool that also gives its customers the opportunity to browse an up-to-date product list, Chadd’s Foodsmiths Managing Director Nigel Chadd turned to RNF to give the Sterling Super Group member a cost-effective solution.
“We’re delighted to be launching a digital offer for our customers, which will help us to improve the customer-ordering experience and enable us to communicate with customers and suppliers in a more timely and relevant fashion,” said Chadd.

While RNF has vast experience working with some of the sector’s biggest wholesalers, the Beam platform allows an off-the-shelf solution that allows businesses with smaller budgets to take advantage of the technology and brand it in their own colours.
Beam also allows wholesalers to add e-commerce capability to existing website with a single click and gives them the tools to communicate with customers more effectively, delivering messages and promotions in a personalised way that resonates with users.
