JJ Connect brings wholesaler’s growth plans to life
JJ Foodservice announces plans to open a new branch in the Midlands next year, the first of many targeted over the next five years
Speaking at the JJ Connect conference at Convene in Bishopsgate, Chief Operating Officer Kaan Hendekli shared the group’s five-year expansion strategy, which includes eight new branches and its first overseas branch in the Netherlands. “We’re close to securing our new location for 2026 and we’re on the lookout for more,” said Hendekli.
To support its growth ambitions, JJ is investing in a 25,000 sq. ft multi-temperature facility at its Enfield headquarters, boosting capacity across frozen, chilled, and ambient ranges. This investment will help JJ grow its product range to 5,000 SKUs by next year. The range has already increased to 3,800 SKUs, a 27% increase on the previous year.
“We’re not just expanding our network – we’re expanding what we can offer customers,” commented Hendekli. “This new space will help us serve caterers with more choice, while maintaining the same great service customers expect.”
The event also launched Future Partners, a new supplier initiative featuring ‘Speed Connecting’ sessions with JJ buyers. Attendees were invited to join the Buy More Save More campaign, which continues to deliver value for caterers and strong results for suppliers, JJ Foodservice reports.
“Every investment we make is about building for long-term growth,” said Hendekli. “Together, we’re shaping a more resilient future for foodservice.”
