Today’s the day to start learning

Innovative new online training modules are made available to Today’s Group wholesalers

Independent wholesalers will soon be training up their employees using an innovative online training solution, thanks to Today’s Group.

The buying group has paired up with Bolt Learning to provide a range of high-impact training modules to its members in the latest move to improve the industry’s talent pool.

The Bolt and Today’s union will provide the group’s 143 members with access to a series of modules covering a range of topics, including GDPR, health and safety, and management skills.

Today’s Group Managing Director Darren Goldney is delighted to offer the training to the members and believes the programme will be a huge benefit for everybody.

“In a trade sector where colleagues are often stretched for time, online learning offers an ideal solution to ensure Today’s Group members can truly invest in their people and capabilities,” said Goldney.

“The training and development of staff is a key element of our journey to make Today’s Group members the first-choice business partner in the wholesale channel.”

The first raft of training modules will become available for Today’s members in May and follows in the footsteps of several retailers, wholesaler and FMCG suppliers that have now embraced technology to develop their employees with Bolt’s help. And Bolt Director Tom Fender doesn’t want to stop here.

He said: “We appreciate that wholesalers need a raft of training options to attract talented individuals, improve skills and remain compliant. Today’s Group members will have access to a range of digital training modules, which can be undertaken at any time, on any device, anywhere.

“They are also cost effective and relevant to the wholesale sector, and we believe this will be the start of a great relationship with the Today’s Group.”
