GroceryAid Awareness Day

GroceryAid launches annual awareness day

Awareness initiative targeted at the grocery industry launches

The national charity for the grocery industry, GroceryAid, is supporting people within the wholesale sector as part of its work with the grocery industry. It has launched an initiative aimed at ensuring everyone in the grocery industry is aware of the practical, emotional and financial support available to them.

GroceryAid Day is set to take place for the first time on Tuesday 26 February. The charity will use this day to also announce their 2019 GroceryAid Awards, which will recognise the awareness, fundraising and volunteering contribution from the industry over the previous twelve months.

“Awareness is a primary focus for the charity because despite helping over 14,500 colleagues last year we know many more remain unaware of our services,” commented Helen Kershaw, Marketing Communications Manager at GroceryAid. “We are asking all our supporters on 26thFebruary to hold awareness activities telling their colleagues about how we can help when a crisis hits.  They can put up posters, hand out materials, share our video, feature us on their intranets and of course shout about us on social media with #GroceryAidDay.”

To get involved in #GroceryAidDay you can share the hashtag on social media, email the team or visit the website for more information and the free Awareness Day pack.
