Coca-Cola wins big at FWD Gold Medals

Drinks brand named victorious in three categories during supplier awards

Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) were the big supplier winners at FWD’s Gold Medals awards, as the drinks giant scooped a hat-trick of accolades.

Following a great 2019, wholesalers recognised CCEP as the top performer in a series of categories, including Retail Brand, Best Use of Data & Insight and Best New Product – Retail for its Coke Energy launch.

CCEP’s team entered the stage three times to collect awards in front of more than 800 members of the wholesale industry at the event at Old Billingsgate in London.

Carlsberg UK’s Tom Jackson was this year’s recipient of the coveted Young Supplier of the Year title, as he took the trophy ahead of Jordan Halsman at Molson Coors Brewing Company and Swizzels Matlow’s David Howells.

Elsewhere, there was double success for Britvic Soft Drinks with the Best New Product – Foodservice for this year’s Robinsons launch and for Process Innovation.

There were also celebrations for the likes of Asahi UK, which saw Peroni named as the year’s top licence brand, while Walkers helped PepsiCo UK to take the Foodservice Brand award. Silver Spoon Company won the Service Level Supplier gold medal, with Unilever Food Solutions taking the Digital Innovation award.

Green Supplier – KP Snacks
