Mannion on the move at RNF

Chief Technology Office Mike Mannion is moving to a new data role with RNF as the wholesale digital developer adapts to customer demands.

Mike, who is the brother of RNF founder and CEO Rob, will now be Chief Data Officer following the restructure, with former Head of Software Dale Jefferson stepping into the vacant position.

As Chief Data Officer, Mike will be in charge of developing a digital roadmap that feeds into the company’s current services, enhancing wholesale customers’ ability to make the most of opportunities created by data-driven services.

These services, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, will impact almost everything from recommender systems and individualised advertising to message timing and more.

“The digital world is moving at pace and the new structure will ensure RNF remains at the forefront of developments, integrating new technologies quickly and efficiently into our digital solutions for wholesale customers,” said Mike.

“In the coming years, the ordering experience will be heavily driven by algorithms using machine learning and, ultimately, artificial intelligence.

“We want wholesale customers to be able to benefit from these services as quickly and seamlessly as possible and are therefore putting some serious focus on this part of the business.”

RNF already has a strong reputation in the industry, having worked on apps for Bestway, Blakemore and JW Filshill, with the company’s Beam Commerce platform regularly cited across the sector.

“The increased focus on data-driven services is a natural progression for RNF, which has long been at the forefront of intelligent data use to improve commercial performance,” added CEO, Rob.

“I’m looking forward to working closely with Mike and Dale to help our customers make the most of these developments and drive their businesses on to ever-greater commercial success.”
