Foodservice Central launches to support industry professionals

A new online job board has been launched especially for foodservice professionals struggling due to the coronavirus crisis.

Foodservice Central went live on today (1 September) to support the foodservice, wholesale and manufacturing sector, posting jobs for out-of-work people.

The niche job board aims to help the large number of people in the foodservice industry currently left unemployed due to cuts in the industry as hospitality struggles through the impact of the pandemic.

The idea is the brainchild of Paul Knight and Phil Hutchinson-May, who have a wealth of foodservice expertise, and want to keep the talent in the sector despite the uncertainty.

The new website aims to offer targeted jobs listing and relevant tools to help people up skill for their future, while the founders hope it will also become a hub for the sector to support each other.

“The foodservice recruitment marketplace is highly fragmented. There is no one place to find vacancies within the sector,” said Knight.

“Distributors and manufacturers want to easily access the best talent to drive their performance. Equally candidates are looking for roles and want a central website where they can access any current vacancies within the foodservice sector all in one place.”
