Lomond revives popular Welcome Back campaign
Businesses will be making savings to celebrate the reopening of hospitality thanks to Lomond’s rebooted Welcome Back, Give Back promotion.
The Glasgow-based wholesaler is repeating the campaign that slashed the prices of its bestselling food-to-go products last summer to greet the reopening of hospitality.
The promotion launched on 1 April and will run throughout the summer months, offering savings on a wide variety of ranges, such as bacon, chips, chicken and soft drinks.
And following a positive response from customers last year, it made sense to do it all over again this time.
“The feedback we had from our customers last year was that our Welcome Back, Give Back campaign was a gamechanger for them,” said Lomond Director Barbara Henderson.
“We were absolutely blown away by the response to the promotion last year and it made sense to bring it back to offer support when our customers need it most.
“Just like last year, our customers are under pressure and will be operating on much lower volumes and we recognise that they need a great offer for their customers.
“By offering incredible low prices on the products they most want to buy, we’re helping them to boost their margins and rebuild their businesses for the future.”
Lomond is able to offer the support thanks in part to their quick adaptation to the Covid crisis last spring and the targeted support offered to wholesalers in Scotland during the pandemic.
“[Last year’s] campaign launched on 1 August 2020 and we immediately saw sales spike on all the key lines on offer,” said Barbara.
“By focusing on the products we knew were most in demand, not only did we see sales increase by a minimum of 100% on all key lines on offer, but we also saw a staggering 400 new customers come on board during the campaign, which we’re delighted to have retained.”Barbara Henderson coronavirus covid-19 Foodservice Give Back hospitality Lomond Welcome Back
