Wholesaler Castell Howell hits the standard

Foodservice wholesaler Castell Howell Foods is setting new standards after being awarded the AA grade BRC Global Standard Accreditation.

The highest level BRC Gold Standard for Storage and Distribution positions the Welsh wholesaler as carrying out best practice for logistics operations dealing with food, packaging and consumer products.

“We’re absolutely delighted with this recognition,” said Castell Howell Director Matt Lewis.

“Not only does this reflect the incredible hard work of our team, particularly during the challenging period of the pandemic, but it also provides Castel Howell customers with complete peace of mind that they will receive the very highest level of service from our dedicated, hard-working team.”

The Caterforce member displayed high-quality levels of safety, integrity, quality and legality and was audited across its entire on-site operations.

And Head of Compliance Richard Davies says the standard is a credit to the Castell Howell team.

Davies said: “This accreditation is testament to the continued efforts of our loyal workforce, effectively co-ordinated by Food Safety Manager Jayne Griffiths and Technical Supervisor Beverley Thomas.”
