Unitas schedules first post-pandemic face-to-face event

Unitas Wholesale has become one of the first major players in the industry to arrange a face-to-face trading event since the start of the pandemic.

The buying group has announced it will hold a three-day event at The Convention Centre in Liverpool, spanning Wednesday 29 September to Friday 1 October.

The first of the days will taken up by a senior supplier briefing in the afternoon, with a two-day trading event following that.

With the hope that the UK’s vaccination programme will see the resumption of events in the coming weeks and months, Unitas took the chance to give members and suppliers the chance to network, negotiate deals and refocus business relationships.

While the return of a face-to-face event is a step back towards normality, Unitas has also decided to postpone its overseas conference to Tenerife until September 2022.

“As we move out of the pandemic, it is important that we continue to deliver exclusive events for our members and supplier partners that give them the opportunity to negotiate and network in a safe environment,” said Managing Director John Kinney.

“Working with both the Supplier Council and our member committees the feedback we have received is that all stakeholders are extremely receptive to the trade event and my team and I are looking forward to welcoming them to Liverpool in September”
