Entries open for SWA Achievers Awards

Entries at the ready – the Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) Achievers Awards are open for nominations.

After a year break, the industry event is planning to return at the start of 2022 with two new wholesaler awards in tow.

The Achievers awards recognise outstanding performance in the wholesale trade north of the border and highlights best practice and innovation among businesses and employees.

The gala dinner and awards presentation will be held at the Sheraton Grand in Edinburgh on Thursday 10 February 2022.

The two new gongs that can be won are the Community Service Awards for wholesalers supporting their customers, staff and communities during the pandemic, and Best Technology Initiative that is focusing on e-commerce and data.

There are a few other changes to the line-up compared to 2020, with Best Business Initiative also returning to the roster.

“This is going to be a very exciting year for Achievers as many new members have joined the association over the past year and their input to our awards, along with that of existing members, will create excitement and bring added vibrancy to a long-established event,” said SWA Chief Executive Colin Smith.

“Achievers has been an important and popular fixture on the wholesale calendar for 20 years. And we’re determined to make what will be our first big physical event since the first lockdown in March 2020 one that resonates with our wholesale and supplier members, stakeholders and others as once again we gather to celebrate everything that is great about the wholesale sector in Scotland.”

To submit an entry, go to scottishwholesale/achievers and fill in the online application, with entries closing on 26 July.

Full details of the award categories are also available on the SWA website.

As well as entries, tables at the Gala Dinner are open for booking by emailing kate@scottishwholesale.co.uk
