Big fundraising target set to celebrate Country Range Group landmark

The Country Range Group has set a £100,000 fundraising target to celebrate its 30th birthday.

The foodservice buying group has unveiled a number of charitable initiatives in 2022 that are linked to its members and the wider foodservice sector.

Funds raised throughout the year will be split between industry charity Hospitality Action and local causes aligned with the group’s 12 wholesalers.

Various individual, member and group charitable endeavours and fundraising activities – including a 30-million step challenge – will be taking place and announced throughout the year.

“Reaching our 30th year is a marvellous achievement for the group,” said Managing Director Coral Rose.

“It wouldn’t have been possible without the local support our members receive and the tireless chefs and teams working across the foodservice sector.

“It’s been a torrid two years for everyone involved in catering, so we felt it was only fitting that we used our anniversary year to raise some much-needed funds to support and help those who need it most.”

The year ahead spells the next chapter of Country Range Group’s revival following the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020. And after an impressive 2021, the group has set a full schedule of events in 2022.

This includes two business development days in March, its Christmas Show at Bolton Wanderers Football Club in April, the CRG annual exhibition in Telford in June before two more business development days in September and the popular “An Evening with…” event in December.
