First Lomond trade show since pre-Covid to take place
Retailers and foodservice operators will be flocking to Lomond’s trade show next month as the wholesaler hosts its first face-to-face event since the Covid-19 outbreak.
The Glasgow-based wholesaler will be showcasing their latest product launches at the Taste@Lomond event to help customers get ahead of their competition at the two-day event that starts on Wednesday 18 May.
It’s the first time Lomond has held the trade show in person since the onset of the pandemic and expects to see record levels of attendance.
The event will be held in two marquees at Lomond’s Glasgow depot and will be packed full or products and knowledgable suppliers, while also celebrating the wholesaler’s 25th anniversary.
“The trade show is a fantastic opportunity for our customers to meet our suppliers, try new products and get one step ahead of their competition,” said Barbara Henderson, Director.
“Our suppliers don’t just bring the products they already have on offer, but new products that are in the pipeline so our customers get to see what’s new and what could offer them exciting new sales opportunities.”
If that’s not enough of an incentive, the show will also include lots of deals and discounts, as well as a prize draw that includes a host of prizes, including the chance for customers to win £1,000 credit to their account.
There will also be a dedicated area of the show for locally sourced products – something that Lomond is passionate about.
“Supporting local Scottish producers and suppliers is a key focus for us,” Henderson added.
“There is so much demand for locally sourced products and we’re delighted to already offer more than 3,000 Scottish products, but fully intend this to represent 50% of our whole range by the end of 2022.”
