Hunt’s adds capacity to meet customer demand

To ensure it meets customer demand, Hunt’s Food Group has opened a new 4,000-square-foot warehouse at its head office in Sherborne, Dorset

The new warehouse provides additional space to the wholesaler’s existing two sites and will be used to store non-food lines such as chemicals, packaging and disposables in order to meet customer demand.

During the pandemic, Hunt’s Food Group increased its stock holding by approximately 50% in order to continue to deliver for its customers and avoid issues with transport, logistics and availability which were being experienced across the whole supply chain.

“Our strategy has been to increase our stock holding to ensure we don’t let our customers down and service levels suffer,” said Jason McGhee, Purchasing Director, Hunt’s Food Group.

“Investing back into the business in stock and warehousing space supports one of our core values of being trustworthy and dependable.”
