Wholesale News editor to stand down

Wholesale News Editor Chris Evans is standing down after four-and-a-half years in the role

Evans is leaving his position on 17 November, with the team at Wholesale News’s publisher, The Bright Media Agency, picking up the baton.

The content team, which is headed up by Content Director Stephenie Shaw, has a wealth of industry experience and has worked with Unitas, Landmark, Caterforce, Confex and several independent wholesalers for several years.

The news coincides with the release of the 2023 media pack that includes a bumper features list packed with themes for the year ahead.

Bright Media has worked with Wholesale News owner FWD since early 2018 to produce the title, with Evans taking up the reins at the same time.

After leaving Wholesale News, Evans will take up a new role as Head of Communications at b2b.store in December.

“I’ve enjoyed my time working at Wholesale News and getting to grips with the sector,” he said. “I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved with Wholesale News, ensuring it’s the go-to read for everyone in the sector. With so many issues facing the industry right now, the magazine has never been more important and the team has fantastic plans in place for 2023.”
