New executive structure at Unitas

With an eye firmly on providing a truly ‘member centric’ service to its members, Unitas Wholesale is shaking up its executive management team structure

Commercial Director Aoife Kenny will now lead on the development of a number of strategic projects to further enhance the group’s capabilities. She will relinquish trading responsibilities, while retaining responsibility for the marketing and retail commercial teams. Cheryl Hope, Trading Director, will now take full responsibility for trading across the Group.

“I am extremely pleased with the impact both Aoife and Cheryl have had since joining Unitas,” said John Kinney, Managing Director, Unitas.

“They are both highly skilled and motivated individuals who have, in a short space of time already, made some significant changes to the way we are developing our relationship with both our members and our supplier partners. These changes will ensure we are well placed to not only provide appropriate resource to support our strategic direction but also to ensure we are fully focused on our trading objectives and maximising benefits for all our members and supplier partners.”

This change comes as the Doncaster-based buying group announces Phil Dawson as Trading Controller for Foodservice, bringing with him a wealth of experience from roles across the foodservice sector including A.F. Blakemore Foodservice, Bake North Western and E Foods Ltd.
