Wholesaler wins sole supply agreement
After years of jointly delivering a school meal contract, foodservice wholesaler Q Catering is celebrating having been awarded the sole supply agreement to supply more than 90 schools
Independent Catering Management (ICM) is one of the leading school meal providers in the south east which has been providing fresh food to schools for more than 26 years. After 15 years of sharing the business with Brakes, Q Catering has been awarded a sole supply agreement for frozen and ambient products. ICM have cited flexibility, improved storage, expanding product lines and Q’s new fleet of vehicles as just some of the reasons for the decision.
“Winning the sole supply agreement with ICM has been a huge win for us at Q Catering,” said Steve Clarke, Managing Director (pictured). “It has been a joy working with the team there over the years and we’ve really come to understand their wants and needs, which results in a fantastic, collaborative working environment. We look forward to the years ahead.”
Andrew Saunders, Managing Director, ICM agreed: “We have worked with Q Catering for many years, but in the light of adverse changes in the sector and the industry, we have decided to solely trade with Q Catering for all our ambient and frozen needs.
“As always, flexibility and versatility are key to any successful business. Over time we realised that the opportunity of working uniquely with Q would give both additional support and control to our purchasing. Notwithstanding the need to flex as required, working with a company small enough to listen but big enough to deliver.”Andrew Saunders Foodservice Independent Catering Management Q Catering Steve Clarke
