GroceryAid supports industry families in need

As schools reopen, 5,926 children will be returning with the correct uniform and equipment after families received a £150 School Essentials Grant from GroceryAid

A total of £888,900 was granted to families in need this year, a 36% increase compared to last year’s School Essentials Grant. Eligible parents received £150 per school-aged child up to a maximum of three children per household.

“This year’s School Essentials Grant has been the largest fund awarded since it launched four years ago,” said Mandi Leonard, Welfare Director at GroceryAid. “We are delighted to be able to help so many more families at a time when they need it the most.”

If you or a colleague is experiencing financial difficulties, you can still apply for a GroceryAid Cost of Living Grant providing you have been employed in the grocery industry for at least six months and meet the eligibility criteria.
