Mentoring capacity boosted for Women in Wholesale

Women in Wholesale’s flagship Speed Mentoring event returns for 2024 with more mentors than ever before following increased support from FWD

The annual event, which facilitates mentorship sessions with senior industry directors and CEOs, will now feature 14 mentors – up from nine the previous year. This expansion helps to support a greater number of mentees, making this upcoming event the largest of its kind.

Brand new for 2024, the event will take place at Convene, 22 Bishipsgate, London and is for women working in UK convenience and foodservice wholesale.

“Networking is crucial to career development, and we are thrilled to support more women than ever before by bringing them together with senior industry leaders in this stunning new venue,” said Lyndsey Cambridge, Head of Engagement & Communications at FWD.

Women in Wholesale is brought to you by FWD and Diversity in Wholesale with the aim of inspiring and supporting women in the UK foodservice and grocery wholesale channel to foster connection and build confidence and resilience while contributing to personal and business development.

This year’s mentors include Coral Rose, CEO, Fairway Foodservice; Debbie Robinson, CEO, Central England Co-op; Emma Senior, Managing Director, Sugro; Ruth Fawcett, Wholesale & Convenience Associate Director, CCEP and Martin Holmes, People Director, Creed Foodservice.

Founder of Women in Wholesale Elit Rowland said: “Our mentors will share personal stories designed to help mentees with easy-to-implement tips that will boost their everyday confidence, leadership and teamworking skills. If you are looking for a high impact investment in your female team – this is the event to go to.”
