As you’ll read on pages 4 and 17, FWD has commissioned a new report that highlights the critical role we play in driving growth in the UK economy. And, with economic growth lying central to the government’s plans, this report should ensure the wholesale channel is both seen and heard by those who can make a difference.

On pages 18-21, we ask a variety of wholesale leaders to share their biggest learnings from 2024 and how these have shaped their plans for the year ahead. While we can’t ignore the obvious challenges, you’ll be glad to know there are causes for optimism.

Working in partnership also emerged as a key theme for this issue. From brands looking to drive distribution and engagement with the channel to wholesalers sharing insight with peers and utilising third party expertise to futureproof their business, the overarching message is clear: we are all stronger when we work together.
