Today’s event “one of the best”
Speed-dating event a big hit with record-breaking foodservice members
Today’s Group members were first past the post in the race for a good deal, at the buying group’s foodservice speed-dating event.
Held at Doncaster racecourse, 24 Today’s members and 29 supplier partners thrashed out a record 152,000 cases sold during during the two-day event – with the figures representing 20% year-on-year growth.
The quick-fire meeting style went down a storm with attendees, giving them plenty of chance to strike deals and network with a roomful of potential contacts, leaving several members gushing with compliments.
“This year’s speed-dating event was a huge success,” said Failte Foods Managing Director and Today’s Group board member, Jim Cummiskey. “Well done to David [Sabin, Head of Trading] and his team for all the hard work in making this year’s event great.”
All of the members that went along to the event were allowed access to an exclusive deal package that was negotiated by Today’s Group with supplier partners.
Premier Foods’ Ross Brown added: “The Today’s Group foodservice event is one of the best speed-dating events I’ve been to. Very well organised, great venue and good conversations with members.”
