Excellent service for wine wholesalers

Grapevine to make easy online ordering and automation a reality

Wine wholesalers will be toasting a new product that has been launched to help their back office and give customers online access to place orders.

Called Grapevine, the new system – which was launched by software developer ATD Solutions – gives wine wholesalers the chance to maintain all product information in one place, complete with tasting notes, vineyard images, wine awards and components weights, as well as details on unit costs and tier prices.

The service also comes with back-end capabilities, with wholesalers given the option to manage and automate key back-office functions, while a controlled log on means that employees can have different privileges depending on their levels.

Simple and cost effective to implement, Grapevine will be running in minutes and doesn’t come with any costly IT requirements – all wholesalers will need is access to the internet.

Champagne Warehouse was one of the first companies to adopt Grapevine and its Managing Director, Tony Stones, was enthusiastic about its benefits.

“As a business, we always look to use the latest technology where it can help improve our processes, control costs and ultimately deliver increased value to our customers,” said Stones.

“We were impressed with Grapevine right from its first steps and have worked closely with ATD to help it develop specifically for the wine market.

“We had previously researched the SOP and stock control software market and found nothing but general business systems that seemed very cumbersome to implement, whereas Grapevine is perfectly tailored for wine and can be used virtually straight off the shelf. The customer ordering portal is a particularly strong feature.”
