Brakes plug in to Erudus platform

Online food-data resource celebrates massive growth with new addition

Brakes is the latest name to join the Erudus revolution after the foodservice business signed up to the food product platform.

The catering and food supplier has become the latest wholesaler to take advantage of the wealth of information available instantly on Erudus, which has increased its users by 180% in the past 12 months.

The number of wholesalers benefiting from the nutritional and allergen data has also ballooned from only 42 in 2016 to 117, while the number of manufacturers has more than doubled to 2,748 in the same time.

Brakes has joined at an exciting time for Erudus, with a planned update set to go live in the next year that will make 250,000 product images available to download for use on marketing material, price lists, e-commerce sites and mobile-ordering apps.

Erudus Chief Operation Officer Jon Shayler (pictured above) is delighted with the continued growth of the brand and believes the next step will see the platform make another leap forward in popularity.

“We’re pleased to see another major player in the industry join the solution to product data, with Brakes now one of the 117 wholesalers benefitting from Erudus,” said Shayler.

“To go from 10,000 caterers utilising data from us to 90,000 in just 12 months is incredible. It’s becoming a must-have app in the foodservice industry with wholesalers, caterers, and manufacturers all thrilled with the collaborative approach of the software.

“The introduction of images is something many of our users have requested, and it’s going to be a major milestone for Erudus, and the industry, when this launches.”
