Growth behind new depot opening

Foodservice wholesaler Philip Dennis adds fourth site to its business

Philip Dennis Foodservice has added a fourth depot to its armoury with the £1.5 million investment in a site in the West Midlands.

The new transport and warehousing depot in Dudley will add to existing sites in the south west, Oxfordshire and the midlands and is a nod to the significant increase in Philip Dennis‘s foodservice business across pubs, restaurants, hotels, schools and coffee shops.

And with ambitious plans to take the business to the next level, the new premises marks another notable investment in infrastructure and people in the past 12 months.

The location of the new depot in the heart of the West Midlands offers easier access for the company’s distribution fleet that will enhance the delivery service.

“This is a very exciting time for the business,” said Regional Sales Manager for the Midlands, Lisa Vermeulen. “We’ve invested heavily in this new depot as we’ve seen a large increase in demand for Philip Dennis products within the area.

“The business has experienced rapid growth in recent years, and we wanted a base in the West Midlands that would allow us to offer an increased level of service to our customers.”
