New catering website for JJ Foodservice

JJ Foodservice customers are set to benefit from an even better online service following the launch a new website.

The foodservice wholesaler has improved users’ online experience by revamping a number of features on the site, including shopping baskets without a time limit, clearly labelled NPD and new star tags to flag popular products.

Efficiency and convenience are the key to the refreshed site, with an improved search function meaning its now easier for customers to shop the website by making it even easier to find special offers, search by brand, case size or origin. Searching for specific sub-categories such as vegan, MSC or sugar free will now also bring up product lists.

There is clearly a demand within JJ’s customer base for online services, with 70% of the wholesaler’s customers now ordering using an e-commerce – an 11% increase on the previous year.

The business has also seen cashless customers doubling their spend from £3,000 to £6,000 per week.

“The new site is a major redevelopment,” said Chief Technology Officer, Mick Dudley.

“It [shopping baskets no longer expiring] means people can relax and use the site however they want,

“Moving customers online has helped us to improve efficiency and reduce costs, therefore enabling us to keep passing on great savings to caterers.”

The new website launch comes an exciting time for JJ Foodservice, as the wholesaler looks to increase its customer base even further by acquiring a new depot.
