JJ Foodservice hunting for new depot

Growth remains high on the agenda for JJ Foodservice as the wholesaler ups its search for new sites.

The foodservice provider already has 11 branches across the UK and want to extend its reach even further by acquiring more properties in prime locations.

The wholesaler recently revealed record sales of £170 million for the first three quarters of the current financial year, which represents a 14% increase on the same time in the previous year.

But with no intention of resting on their laurels, JJ is targeting more caterers by offering high-quality products, a slick ordering process and state-of-the-art delivery to new regions the business doesn’t already serve.

The wholesaler has identified West London as a key focus, although would also consider sites away from the capital following a recent event with people from the fish and chip industry that revealed they’d like a local JJ branch in their area.

“We’re ready to grow, but our biggest challenge is finding suitable freehold sites,” said Group General Manager, Terry Larkin.

“We’re urging anyone with a warehouse between 20,000 sq ft and 50,000 sq ft in West London to get in touch.”

Currently, JJ has branches in Enfield, Sidcup, Basingstoke, Dagenham, Birmingham, Bristol, Doncaster, Leicester, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle.
