eWholesale Collective: Maintaining a USP online

Transferring a wholesaler’s identity from depot to online has long been a talking point within the sector and the rush of activity into this space has only served to make those conversations louder.

In our latest eWholesale Collective discussion, our panel of experts discuss a question posed to them by JW Gray’s Iain Johnston, as he asks how wholesalers can maintain a USP (unique-selling point) using e-commerce channels as competition grows.

It was a topic many of the group had spoken about before, whether it was within their own wholesale businesses, clients or as suppliers trying to move their products through a new area.

On our panel were Red Bull Head of Category Management & E-Commerce, Lotte Tregear, Diageo Digital Strategy Manager Kerry Morrison and Digital Commerce Customer Development Leader Tom Manktelow from Mars Wrigley.

Alongside them were Dee Bee Wholesale Trading Director Andy Morrison, JJ Foodservice COO Mushtaque Ahmed and TWC Director Tanya Pepin.
