Bidfood at home launches across the UK

Consumers on the hunt for restaurant-quality food at home can get their hands on thousands of top products after Bidfood at home went live.

Rolling out across the UK from Wednesday 11 November, the new consumer shopping platform offers more than 3,000 lines of Bidfood’s food, drink and non-food supplies to the public.

The permanent service is a response to the success of the click and collect and home delivery offering the foodservice provider launched in March when the Covid-19 pandemic hit.

And after the public developed a taste for Bidfood’s products, the new dedicated home-shopping platform was a natural next step.

Among the ranges available on Bidfood at home, there are classic cupboard staples and household brands, ranging from frozen and fresh meats to seasonal ranges, product innovation and a ‘wine cellar’ offering an array of drinks and spirits. The foodservice provider’s Christmas range will also be available in time for the festive season.

If that wasn’t enough, the new site will host recipes, advice and tips from home experts, guest chefs and nutritional specialists.

Bidfood’s Finance, Strategy and Digital Director, Ian Moore said: “Our new website combines our catering expertise with our digital flair and delivers a creative solution tailored towards these audiences, now allowing everyone in the country to access our extensive range.”

During the peak of the Covid pandemic this spring, Bidfood also earned plaudits for joining forces with Brakes to provide millions of care packages to the most vulnerable households.
