Hancocks unveils new 140,000 square foot warehouse

Hancocks has cut the ribbon on a new warehouse and distribution centre to support the business’s online growth – creating 60 new jobs.

The confectionery wholesaler has invested in a new 140,000 square foot site in Worksop in Nottinghamshire to help meet the demand for the business’s online channel.

As Covid has hit throughout 2020, Hancocks has witnessed a growth of more than 200% in the online side of its business, with no sign of it slowing down.

During thus time, Hancocks has also revamped its website to offer direct delivery and click and collect to more than 20,000 customers across the UK and Europe.

While the new site will create 60 new roles in Nottinghamshire, Hancocks Dunstable facility will close due to it no longer being able to support the company’s growth requirement.

“Given the success of Hancocks.co.uk and our plans, we are investing in capability,” said Managing Director Steve Foster.

“In recent years, we’ve upgraded our stores, invested in our web team and systems, and now distribution capability. This new site will allow us to significantly grow our services and product range to further support our customers.”
