Brakes adds light equipment to product range

Caterers will soon be able to fulfil more of their needs with Brakes after the foodservice wholesaler added light equipment to its product range.

More than 600 new products have been added to Brakes’ category, providing time and money savings to their customers by enhancing its one-stop shop proposition.

The idea to branch out with a more extensive range is to help time-poor caterers with the opportunity to purchase extra equipment as part of their food and drink orders, meaning it can all be kept on one order – with no minimum order value either.

The new equipment takes Brakes’ light product range to more than 800 items, while customers can also source essential storage solutions, table service, buffet displays, chefwear and janitorial lines.

“Cutting down the number of orders that need to be placed, processed, and received, saves caterers valuable time and money and helps to make them more efficient,” said Brakes Marketing Sector Manager Mandy van Hagen.

“Furthermore, we know from previous experience that when hospitality venues re-open after a lockdown, they are obviously looking to keep staff and customers as safe as possible and consolidating their food and light equipment order so that they have fewer delivery drivers coming to the kitchen door is a big help in this respect.

“As in the past, we will be ready with everything that caterers need when they re-open – whether that is food or equipment – and all at the best possible price.”
