NBC announce Lane is to step down

Member-owned buying group National Buying Consortium has announced changes to its leadership team

Stuart Lane is stepping down from his role as member director of the buying group following the sale of his business, Lansdell Soft Drinks, to Chapple & Jenkins.

David Longfellow, NBC chairman, said: “Stuart Lane was one of the founding members of NBC and the first chairman to assume the role back in 2019. We are privileged to have been able to have Stuart on our side in those first formative years and we are in a much better place having had his leadership and guidance available to anyone that needed it.

Stuart Lane said: “It has been a tremendous pleasure to have been involved and working with a group of businesses that have the same values and principles. Whilst we have had many challenges during our journey, including the pandemic, the group has gone from strength to strength and the leadership team that has evolved over such a short period of time has ensured that the group is now well positioned for the future and that allows me to focus my own personal time and attention to new challenges.”

The group are now seeking interested applicants from the NBC membership to take on the role of member director.
