Wholesalers flock to Erudus platform

Food product business plans further expansion as growth continues

A tenth wholesaler in three months has signed up to gain instant access to crucial food product data, as Erudus continues to grow at a rapid rate.

The food product platform now has 128 wholesalers signed up to its resources, having enjoyed an increase from only 42 in 2016 – and the company has plans to grow even more in the future.

In order to provide an even better service that allows wholesalers to tap into a database of key food information, including ingredients and allergens, Erudus has bolstered its team with four new recruits and has planned an update to go live later this that will make 250,000 products images available to download.

Erudus has also gone to lengths to listen to customer feedback in shaping its plans for the rest of the year.

“The User Steering Committee is incredibly important to us, and the plan was well received at our first meeting. More importantly, it allowed us to listen to suggestions and requests to improve the platform,” explains Chief Operating Office Jon Shayler.

“For example, we had feedback that the data validation process could be smoother, and we’re now in the process of making that happen.”

Erudus is also actively seeking integration partnerships with providers of software into the food industry.

“We are seeking to push the data as far as possible, and have already worked closely with the likes of Lady Lodge and SwiftCloud to link our information to their respective systems,” added Jon.

“We welcome conversations with anyone wishing to find out more about integrating with us to enhance their product offering and provide additional benefits to their customers.”

Erudus is the leading foodservice data pool software and hosts the specifications of major manufacturers including Heinz, Premier Foods, and Unilever.
