New Brakes website offers “complete experience”

Functionality, speed and ease of use inspires revamped customer site

Foodservice specialist Brakes is promising to offer the industry’s “most complete shopping experience” after it relaunched its customer-facing website.

The wholesaler has designed its new site to have a more intuitive interface, while also boasting improved functionality, speed and east of navigation so customers can get a faster and smarter shopping online experience with Brakes.

One of the biggest developments is the website’s new My Brakes feature that allows customers to view their order history and create orders, as well as receiving order confirmations and delivery notifications. The feature also provides customers with the capability to amend or cancel orders, and make any last-minute changes, while prompting customers to purchase forgotten or impulse items with a new Have You Missed functionality.

Brakes is making an ongoing investment across its current services to continue providing outstanding products, excellent service, value for money and the best customer experience available.

As well as the new service-focused functions, the new site offers search, order, manage basket, favourites list and shop functions to improve user experience. This means that it’s quick and easy for customers to find products, access pricing and important product information using a small number of clicks, which will reduce further as the site automatically customises user content according to personal buying and browsing behaviour.

The new site is a step forward for Brakes and a shining example the rest of the industry should pay attention to when developing their own digital channels.

“The new website will deliver the most complete online shopping experience available in foodservice,” said Brakes Marketing Director Adam Collett.

“Using a combination of our own market-leading knowledge and many hours spent talking to our customers about the features and functions they believe would make their lives easier, we have created a site that delivers on all counts.”
