Mullineux appointed Caterforce Managing Director

Interim MD steps up to take permanent position after change at the top

Gary Mullineux has been installed as Caterforce’s permanent managing director, following a spell in the interim position.

Mullineux has been fulfilling the role in the transitional period while his predecessor Nick Redford saw out his notice, which ended in December.

The foodservice buying and marketing group is enjoying a spell of growth and Mullineux’s role will be to help Caterforce continue on its upward curve.

Having joined the business more than eight years ago, Mullineux has worked his way up the ranks from group buying manager to purchasing director.

“It’s an extremely exciting time for the business and to be given the opportunity to lead Caterforce forward is one I’m very proud of,” said Mullineux.

“The past four months have helped me to gain valuable experience and has been the perfect sounding board before taking on the role full time.

“We have an incredibly talented team and I’m looking forward to working with them to deliver the highest level of service for our members.”

Mullinuex’s key focuses will be the development and growth of Caterforce’s own-brand products, Chefs’ Selections and Roast 440, along with the launch of the group’s new cleaning range, ProClean.

Technology will also be high on his agenda and he’ll be working with Caterforce’s members to implement more effective ways of working across the group.

“Gary’s knowledge of the industry is second to none,” said Caterforce Chairman, Stephen Carr.

“Caterforce has gone from strength to strength in recent years and I look forward to working closely with Gary and our membership to continue our success and growth.”
